Overcome Performance Anxiety
Performance anxiety is a fairly broad term whether you get anxious
giving a presentation or speech, singing, playing music or a sport in front of others, if you’ve experienced performance anxiety you know it can be nerve-wracking. Once you start worrying that something may go wrong while performing, your anxiety tends to build, and the more you think about it, the more it increases. These potential thoughts and feelings may begin days or weeks before the date of your performance, and they might continue throughout your game, performance, or speech.
My therapy approach helps the mind “unlearn” these beliefs so you can start to rely on your skills and competence, and find true confidence in your performance. Many people, including famous musicians, actors, and star athletes have overcome even extreme stage freight or fears of performing.
Understand and accept your anxiety as the first step in resolving it
Benefits of Hypnotherapy for Performance anxiety
The techniques I use visualization techniques and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) focus on getting to the root of the problem. The goal is to dramatically reduce or eliminate problems. Using a combination of Clinical Hypnotherapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and the principles of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help change your thoughts or “desensitize” whatever is getting in the way of your performance.
